I cant say no to 50% off sales..

I just cannot help it.  Especially whenever I find out that the products I am eyeing are on sale.. 50% off sale!

Beauty Bar's online site released a 50% off sale on different products,  We all know most of their items are high-end, so when I saw the Ad, I immediately clicked the link and searched for The Balm's Products. They also offerred free shipping that time. :D

Let me just show you how secure and cute their packaging is.

Left Package: from Beautyshopph (2nd time buying from the shop.  It always has a freebie! Thanks, beautyshopph!
Right Package: from Beauty Bar's online shop.  The pink strips of papers are perfect for flat lays! ;)  And thanks for the compliment! :p
On to the products....
I've been dreaming of having a Mary-Lou Manizer in my kit, and I think this is the very first highlighter that most of the MUAs/Youtubers's fell in love with!  They also sold the Trio for 50% off, but it went out of stock immediately.  That could've been a best buy but I dont think I can use the three highlighters, so I just bought the Mary-Lou Manizer.

Might seem matte.
Hello Gorgeous! Oh Yes you are!

One Swipe and it's blinding! hehehe. So creamy and pigmented.  I haven't used it but Ill surely post a pic once I wear it!
Regular Price: Php 1,025.00
Sale Price:  Php 512.50!

On the first day of the sale, they didnt include Bahama Mama but upon checking the site the next day, I found that it's on sale too, so, I didnt think twice and bought it right then and there!

The Balm's packaging is so pretty!

It's a bronzer / contouring powder.

Here's a swatch, I had to swatch it three times so it would appear on the picture/camera. But I guess that's a good thing, since you dont want your bronzer/contour to look harsh.

Regular price: Php 925.00
Sale price: Php 462.50!
The third product I bought is from beautyshopph.  This is my second time purchasing from the shop, so I assure you that it's legit. The first transaction I had with them was when I bought my Make Up Revolution Flawless Matte Eyeshadow palette, my blog post about it link here!

I used the shopee app for purchasing so I can earn points.  Shopee also offer discounts from time to time so I really prefer buying through them.  They also offer free shipping fee if the items you bought are worth Php 250 and up.  This costs less than 250 so I bought a dropper worth Php 40.  I am planning to use it for my Castor oil. Watch out for my blog post about it! :D

Mall price: Php379
Beautyshopph: Php 220
Diba? Sobrang nakatipid ako! hahaha! read some good reviews about this product and since I do get zits from time to time (blame ze hormones). I must have this.  I also need to practice how to color collect and cream contouring.  I hope this works!

Speaking of tipid, I also think that these products are the closest dupes for The Balm's Mary Lou Manizer and Bahama Mama. See swatches below:

Elf Baked Highlighter vs Mary Lou Manizer

I think Mary Lou Manizer has a yellow undertone to it, so champagne-y effect siya unlike Elf's Baked Highlighter.
Pigmentation-wise: Same, especially Elf's, I have tried applying it with fingers and wet brush, and I must say very pigmented din! Though, I have yet to test Mary Lou Manizer on my face, the swatch says it's a very promising product!

NYC Bronzer vs. Bahama Mama
The colors are super close.  Just note that I swatch Bahama Mama three times to have the color appear on the camera. I have yet to test Bahama Mama on my face.

You'll get to see mini-reviews on my instagram @esirryhat :D  Or if ever I'll have the time to create looks again.

Right now, I'm just happy that I finally have these two The Balm's products. Dati swatch lang ako sa Beauty Bar. Hahaha!

Anyways,

I hope you can follow/message me on my instagram cos that's where I'm always active. hehe.

Til next post!

PAC x Say Tioco Valentine's Day Giveaway Prizes!

Last february, I joined a contest in Instagram. The pacxsay valentine's day giveaway. I was lucky, I was one of the winners of the lip color palette sample and make over gift certificates too!

my entry:

Sorry for the screenshot. I cant find the original picture. Haha!

I just received my prizes earlier. After 3 months! Wow! Haha. XD

I was expecting for a palette, but i received a Lipstick, a glossy lipstick with a cutie aztec black and white pouch and gift checks that I wish were not for make overs but for shopping. Hahaha. XD But hey, its PAC!!!! Why am I even complaining!! XD

About the lipstick:

A glossy lipstick. It's glossy but you still can see the color when you applied it on your lips.

What it claims and its best before March 2017! WHAAT! This made me so happy! <3 haha.

Ingredients...

I so LOVE the packaging! So classy! Glad they stick with the colors black and white! It has this metal lining where PAC is engraved. Professional Artist Cosmetics! =) how i wish I was a Pro! Hehehe.

The shade is called "Rosy Brown". I dont wear or buy brown shade lipsticks. I am more of the pinks, reds and peaches! And if ill be buying a nude lipstick, I want the pinkish nude lippies. But this shade, is an exception! I must start buying more!

This shade reminds me of my Sophie Paris Lipstick in Mango Peach! But once applied, it's true to its shade name.

So pretty, it looks like I'm not wearing a lipstick because it's the same as my natural lip color, except that its glossy. haha! Well, hello! It's a brown shade lipstick! Im not really good at describing. Haha!

It really is glossy.

I can even wear this shade for everyday and when I feel like wearing minimal makeup.. #KaTamadDays . It lasts for 3-4 hours without a heavy meal.

Me with the PAC glossy lipstick in Rosy Brown on. No powders or other makeups. Dare to be Bare. ;)

Thank you so much, Ms. Say Tioco and Professional Artist Cosmetics by Martha Tilaar for theseeee! I really looove the lipstick and pouch! More giveaways! Hehe. :*

DIY Brush Cleaner,Holder and Brush Guards!

If you're on a tight budget like me, I am always on a tight budget but I still spent alot. :( hahaha. I cant afford those brush cleaners, brush holder and brush guards. Not right now, when there will always has something to save to. (e.g Grad Ball Dress, Shoes, etc.) So I researched and read some blogs about the DIY Brush Cleaners, Holder and Guards!

DIY Brush Cleaner

I recently deep cleaned my brushes using an extra virgin olive oil and an anti bacterial soap. I learned this trick from Michelle Phan in Youtube, only she uses the dishwashing soap instead of me using the anti bacterial soap.  The EVOO is to maintain the softness of hair of the brushes since the soap can be harsh and can damage the bristles of the brushes while the anti bacterial soap cleanses the germs away from the brushes!
Bioderm's Germicidal Soap.

Photo isnt mine. But this is what I use.

How I do it is to first wash the brush with water then slightly dab it to the soap and then pour a little amount of EVOO to it. *Dont put too much oil or you'll never be able to use your brush again* Wash it thoroughly.

After cleaning, I used to blow dry them but found out that it's a No-No.  So, to dry my brushes I have two options.

First:
I used a clean towel and placed it like this so the water wont go where the glue that holds the hair and the handle together.

Second: DIY Brush Holders.

MY DIY BRUSH HOLDERS. Brainy, right? ;)

I also use a hanger that has several clippers, or what we call here "sipitan" then I clip my brushes the same position as in the first option and then hang it and wait for it to dry.

DIY Brush Guards

Brush Guards cost around 200 and contains for 6 to 8 guards, I think.  I have alot of brushes and I think that's not "sulit".  So, I'm suggesting this DIY that I have read somewhere. I trried this and I guess, it's effective! :)

When you buy a brush well of course it is placed in a plastic packaging like this.  Make sure to clean it first by wiping it with a wet towel first then a dry one after.

Cut it like this.

It should look like this. Owkay?

I know some will be too big for a brush so I suggest you get a tape and then tape it outside so it'll fit the brush and the brush will maintain its shape.  Try putting holes in the plastics so the air can peep into the brush.

Voila, you have your brush guards! ;)

I hope you guys learned some cool stuff.  Sometimes, you really dont need to spend alot! Always try to look for alternatives! ;)

Til next post!
