Human Nature Haul!

Switch to Organics! Never thought I would but i've been planning to eversince i got very fond of beauty products. Next step, Mineral makeups!

Anyways, I just received my orders from organicsbabymenagerie, she's an online seller on ebay. She also sells various organic products (for any of you who's like me, switching to all natural lol) plus Strip It Products.  I'm so glad i found the store! hahaha.

I ordered it last Fri or Sat I think and i had to pick it up since she was living near here (somewhere haha) i just saved Php50 for the shipping fee. Haha. #kuripot

These are the Human Nature products I bought.  Human Nature has a wide-range of beauty care from head to toe. Yes! It's also Filipino-Made! I learned about this Brand from a forum i forgot where but I was searching for a good face moisturizer that is chemical free. Check their website: www.humanheartnature.com

These moisturizers were recommended for a few times so I decided to give it a try! If I could remember it correctly that was the time when I was trying out new face products and ended up having a breakout. Boohoo! But that instance made me opt for natural/organic products. I discovered Dickinson's Pore Perfecting Toner from Healthy Options, but that's a different post/review. ;)

Their hair care products had many good reviews too, so I bought a moisturizing shampoo and a conditioner. ( I just had my haircut, and like most of the girls after haircuts, we promise to take care of our crowning glory.Lol) I chose the lush-vanilla scent. And boooy, it's the smell i have been wanting to for a shampoo/conditioner! Did i mentioned that these are also, chemical free?!

First Impressions!

Human Nature Day & Night Moisturizer
Claims
Day Moisturizer

Night Moisturizer

My thoughts: It smells like a regular lotion no pungent smell. It's not sticky. The pump and cap is very hygienic. It comes with a 50ml and 100ml.  I havent tried it on the face though. I'll have to get back on you for that. ;) I dont like that this doesnt have SPF seems i'll have to rely on my make up to do that sunscreen blockings. And, i think spf requires chemicals. :-?

Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner
Claims:
Shampoo

Conditioner:

My thoughts: THE SCENT IS HEAVEN. i hope it'll stay for a long time on my hair since I havent used it. Lolol. Comes in with little bottles for you to try out. Packaging is like a basic shampoo and conditioner. Chemical free. With its effect, like with the moisturizers, I have to get back on you for that. ;)

That's it for my haul and first impression on my Human Nature Products! I will try to do a review, or update this once I get to use them. :D

I miss posting here it feels like my brain and vocab's refresh. Hahahahaha.

Until next post!

Jazzy Collections' Brow Gel in Light Brown.

Jazzy Collections' Brow Gel in Light Brown

Hey! I have been blogging about make up dupes.  This time, its going to be an eyebrow product!

Ever heard of Mac's Brow Gel?  That costs like a thousand or so but I heard that it's a favorite of their customers.  Since I am officially unemployed! I dont have the budget for that brand. though, I have wanted to purchase a lipstick there ever since! hahaha.

Going back, I have raved about this brow gel from jazzy collection! They have the shade I've been looking for my brows! I first saw this at SM Dept Store after buying the Kokuryu. I immediately tried it out and boy, I almost took it home! Hahaha. Nah, Jk!  I promised myself that I will but it ASAP!

And when me and my Mom went to the mall. I asked her to buy it for me.  That was the perfect timing! Hahaha.

Moving on to the review..

Packaging:

It's nicely secured in a little box.  It's good for 12 months/a year.  Ingredients:refer to photo above.

It didnt have a shade name, just this, but on their testers it said that this was the "Light Brown".  Not really, though.

A brow wand applicator!

Im telling you, that's already a lot of product!

How I used it:

Bare face.  Brows are sisters not twins! So dont judge my brows. HAHAHA.

For the purpose of this so so review.

Right eye: Used my Nichido Eyeliner Pencil in Black Brown alone.
Left Eye: Used the Brow Gel alone.

Left eye: Just brow pencil.
Right eye.  Brow gel alone.  I guess I put too much of the product.  It was very pigmented!!

See the difference.  The Brow Gel is crazy pigmented! I loveit! You just have to be light handed when putting it and make sure you're getting only a little amount.
You can also put a little amount of product first then brush it off with a clean brow wand/brush.

Okay, the earlier pictures are not attractive. HAHAHA. So I erased it all, and then fixed my brows.
This time, I used the pencil for the both brows and then applied the gel/mascara on top.  Much better.

I have a black hair so this chocolate-shade/dark brown shade is right for me, I wont stick for black eyebrow products, it'll make me look like "bakekang" (Filipinos know).

Here's a complete look. I did a full face but not overly done make up just to complement the brows. :) I call this, a Summer-friendly make up!

Since this is a Summer friendly makeup, I tend to put not too much of makeup.
Just the browgel to keep your brows in place.
Light shade eyeshadow (optional)
Curled my eyelashes (Mascara's optional)
Highlighter just to give you a glowing skin once you go outside.
Pink or Peach blush
Peach or Pink lipstick to complement the fresh look.

Products used:
Face:
Fashion 21 Two Way Cake
Ever Bilena Blush in Raisin
Elf Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearl

Eyes/Brows:
Prestige's Skin Loving Minerals Eyeshadow in Copper! (I've been loving this! Thanks, Chesca!)
Nichido Eyepencil in Black Brown
Jazzy Collection's Brow Gel in Light brown

Brushes:
Avon's Powder Blush Brush
Artis Studio Angled Eye brush. (Used for applying highlighter)

PS. I forgot to include my Wet n Wild Just Peachy in the picture!

Until next post! =)

DIY Brush Cleaner,Holder and Brush Guards!

If you're on a tight budget like me, I am always on a tight budget but I still spent alot. :( hahaha. I cant afford those brush cleaners, brush holder and brush guards. Not right now, when there will always has something to save to. (e.g Grad Ball Dress, Shoes, etc.) So I researched and read some blogs about the DIY Brush Cleaners, Holder and Guards!

DIY Brush Cleaner

I recently deep cleaned my brushes using an extra virgin olive oil and an anti bacterial soap. I learned this trick from Michelle Phan in Youtube, only she uses the dishwashing soap instead of me using the anti bacterial soap.  The EVOO is to maintain the softness of hair of the brushes since the soap can be harsh and can damage the bristles of the brushes while the anti bacterial soap cleanses the germs away from the brushes!
Bioderm's Germicidal Soap.

Photo isnt mine. But this is what I use.
Credits to: http://article.wn.com/view/2010/06/04/Feds_get_picky_over_what_makes_oil_extra_virgin_h/

How I do it is to first wash the brush with water then slightly dab it to the soap and then pour a little amount of EVOO to it. *Dont put too much oil or you'll never be able to use your brush again* Wash it thoroughly.

After cleaning, I used to blow dry them but found out that it's a No-No.  So, to dry my brushes I have two options.

First:
I used a clean towel and placed it like this so the water wont go where the glue that holds the hair and the handle together.

Second: DIY Brush Holders.

MY DIY BRUSH HOLDERS. Brainy, right? ;)

I also use a hanger that has several clippers, or what we call here "sipitan" then I clip my brushes the same position as in the first option and then hang it and wait for it to dry.

DIY Brush Guards

Brush Guards cost around 200 and contains for 6 to 8 guards, I think.  I have alot of brushes and I think that's not "sulit".  So, I'm suggesting this DIY that I have read somewhere. I trried this and I guess, it's effective! :)

When you buy a brush well of course it is placed in a plastic packaging like this.  Make sure to clean it first by wiping it with a wet towel first then a dry one after.

Cut it like this.

It should look like this. Owkay?

I know some will be too big for a brush so I suggest you get a tape and then tape it outside so it'll fit the brush and the brush will maintain its shape.  Try putting holes in the plastics so the air can peep into the brush.

Voila, you have your brush guards! ;)

I hope you guys learned some cool stuff.  Sometimes, you really dont need to spend alot! Always try to look for alternatives! ;)

Til next post!

The Perfect Red. (MUA Luxe London Lip Lacquer in InReckless Review)

This MUA Luxe Lip Lacquer in Reckless is the Perfect Red! I got this from my first batch of make up haul. (Link here!)

The packaging is so cute.  So classy!

Ingredients and what it claims.
Good for a year too!

Oops! Sorry for not bothering to clean the applicator. :)))
I find it hard to apply the product with that.

With just one swipe!  Very much pigmented!

I have been looking for a matte red lipstick! Lime Crime has them but it's expensive.  So, I bought its dupe! (As what some of the users claim. I cannot prove that since I don't own any Velvetines.) But, I so looove this! <3

I have read in some reviews that it's not easily remove and kiss proof. But based on my experience..

It's kiss-proof yes.. if you use the product alone and you didn't put any lip gloss or lip balm after applying it.

i looked funny. hahaha.

tahdah. kiss proof it is.

It's not "not transferable" or "not easily remove".  I used this on our Grad Ball last time.  I had to sip some drinks directly from the glass or straws.  It left some products on the straw and glass though, it was not completely erased afterwards.

Err, it was hard to apply!
I had a heavy meal too and that, erased all of the product so I have to re-apply.  I hate how it's not that convenient to apply especially when you dont have your lip liner brush with you.  So, I had to use my finger. lol very hygienic right.

Why am I complaining?! I got it for almost half the price of the velvetines! It's quality/pigmentation is really good! And Both of them are drying on the lips! Lol.

It's one of my Favorite Lipstick and Lip Products! Coming from a Lipstick Hoarder, you should believe it!!  Wait for my review on the shade Funk and that is a dupe for the LC's Pink Velvet! ;)

Buh Bye! Love Love Love the Mua luxe lip laqcuer! That was a long name though!

Kokuryu Summer Cake in Puggy Pink!

I was hesitant to try this summer cake before because of its smell that reminds me of the HS Days pageants and promenades. Hahaha.

I used this cake for a test look for my Grad Ball.  At first, It was very pinkish but once I put more product and blend it to my skin, it matches my skin tone.

 Here's the finish look!

This is just a test look but at the grad ball night I used the half false eyelashes and mua luxe lip lacquer in reckless. Refer to the last photo! =)

Just to be safe I set it with my Maybelline Pressed Powder in shade Natural.  It lasted for the whole night!  I didnt even need to retouch but the strong vanilla-ish scent stayed. :(

I used my Avon Color Fold Up Pallette (Da's gift to me! <3)

A closer look.  Spare my ungroomed brows.

the false eyelashes I bought last time.. I cut it by half because I didnt wanna over-do my makeup.

I also used my ELF Baked Highlighter and Mist/Setting Spray (Oh, I think it really helped for the longevity of the cake foundation and my whole makeup!) I've been loving the highlighter!  It really gives you a glowing skin! I got it from The Primp Pad!
